Video works by nine contemporary artists will occupy both the inside and the outside of The Pavilion Downtown Dubai. The works chosen have in common the relationship to a remote landscape, be it a cityscape, or even a mental representation of the cosmos in a metaphoric way. They invite the viewer to take a two hour journey beyond the familiar. The videos interact with one another, as well as with the surrounding scenes inside and outside The Pavilion.
Conceived for The Pavilion Downtown Dubai, this singular project aims to show how the decline of video in our daily life can broaden our space, become part of our life, provided we are open to breaking down our walls and allocating the time for a shared encounter.
All the artists in this exhibition are represented by the Chantal Crousel Gallery, Paris, France.
